Small-Town Feel
Just beyond Kelowna resides the aptly named Lake Country, surrounded by four stunning lakes and featuring the most lakeshore of any municipality in British Columbia. Rolling hills provide beautiful scenery, incredible views, and a small-town feel, despite its close proximity to Kelowna. There are numerous secluded parks primarily located on one of the four lakes providing picnic areas, washrooms, and a swimming area for the kids. For those interested in camping or fishing, there are peaceful, trout-stocked lakes with forestry service campgrounds located high on the surrounding plateaus. This growing area offers a good selection of moderately priced single-family homes, multi-family townhouses, and some of the Okanagan’s premium view estates. For families there is an elementary school (which offers French Immersion), a secondary school, and an ice arena located in Winfield. There are also a variety of quaint dining and shopping options locally.
