Black Mountain is a growing neighbourhood with a rural feel. The recent addition of several new developments, including the challenging Black Mountain golf course, has broadened the housing options to include acreages, single-family dwellings, luxurious view properties, and family townhouse complexes. Black Mountain Elementary School is centrally located, and other schools are close by in Rutland. For skiers or snowboarders, Big White Ski Resort is just 40 minutes from Black Mountain.
