Ski Hills

Not only does the Okanagan Valley boast one of the best climates in the country, fantastic scenery and epic summers, but it is also the home to three world-class ski resorts. Well known for its mild winters in the Valley bottom, the Okanagan is equally famous for the abundance of “champagne powder” that falls on its world-renowned ski resorts; Silver Star (Vernon), Big White (Kelowna), Crystal Mountain (West Kelowna), Apex (Penticton), and Mt. Baldy (Oliver), which span the Valley from north to south.  In the winter, these ski areas become a destination for world-class downhill and cross country skiing, snowboarding, tubing and more.  There is something for every skiier or boarder, from smaller family-oriented ski hills to resorts with ski-in ski-out villages offering on-hill shopping, accommodation, and fine dining.
