Tourist Destinations

The Okanagan Valley is home to more than 40 golf courses.  There is a selection for all levels of golfers and all budgets – from Par 3 and executive courses to some of Canada’s top-rated Championship courses (four of the top 50).  These courses take advantage of the variety of terrain found in the Okanagan to provide everything from traditional parkland courses to impressive desert links.  The mild weather allows for eight or nine months of golf in the Valley.

Hiking and Biking

There is an endless variety of extraordinary trails for those who like to hike or bike. The Mission Greenway provides a peaceful trail to stroll or bike right in the heart of Kelowna, and in the surrounding hills there are dramatic downhill mountain bike trails with rugged terrain and breathtaking scenery.

The Okanagan has many opportunities to buy fruit or produce grower direct, and to take a tour of the farm.  Whether it is the incredible variety of fruit orchards, a honey farm, or artisan cheese producer, there is something for everyone’s taste buds.  Don’t miss the popular Farmer’s Markets all around the area!

Kelowna is home to a variety of amusement facilities.  Outdoors there is the opportunity to go-kart race, putt, parasail, ride a steam train, fly down a zip line plus much more.  Indoors there is bowling, waterparks, waterslides, and a science centre.
