Kelowna Real Estate Stats – March 2014

Positive first quarter of 2014!  March 2014 outperformed last month, as well as March 2013.

Total sales: 403.  328 last March (+22.87%).   Residential sales: 194.  154 last March (+26%).   Apartment sales were up 15.5% over March of last year, and townhouse sales were up 11.76% over March 2013.

Properties are selling more quickly this year compared to 2013 – an average of 89 days to sell compared to 105 days last year.   Average single family sales price: $487,000 (median price $445,000) – both have increased 13% from last year.  

The combination of increased sales and lower inventory levels will start putting pressure on properties priced under $500,000.  With the arrival of Spring weather and low interest rates, now is the time to buy or sell!
